Before deciding for Brazilian wax, Skip the shaving for at least two weeks and start exfoliating the areas where you want to wax for two days prior to removing the hair in order to remove dead skin cells and to prevent bumps.
Take some cotton cloth or strips that are present in the Brazilian wax kit. You might need to trim that strips to make them short. On the smaller parts of pubic area, less pain will be felt.
Take a warm bath then clean the entire pubic area using mild type soap. Make sure that do not apply any lotions, creams or oils.
If you think the pubic hair is too long, trim with scissors to about 1/4 inch long.
To the area where you are going to wax, apply some baby powder so that it will help in absorbing the excess oil and moisture to allow the wax to stick better to the hair.
Heat the wax as instructed in the manufacturer’s directions. Warm the wax in microwave then allow it to cool for 1 minute.
Place a mirror between your legs so you can see the entire area you are waxing.
First dip the wooden stick given in the packet into the wax then apply just a thin layer of wax onto a small pubic area. The quantity of wax should be slightly smaller than the cloth strips you have cut before. Apply the wax only in the direction of your hair growth.
Begin the wax with the most accessible parts and work your way to the anus. Remember that if you are applying too much wax, the pain will be greater.
Press the strips immediately on the waxed area and smooth down well in the same direction of your hair growth.
Allow the wax to cool then stretch the strip by tightens the skin with one hand. Pick up the edge of the strip with other hand, and stretch it along with the wax in the opposite direction of your hair growth. Make sure, the motion of stretching should be fluid and rapid. It will hurt for seconds but it is not too dangerous.
Repeat the steps until you complete the areas or until you get your desired results. If you see the area is becoming red then calm down for a while and again continue the process.
If you see the remaining hairs, you can use tweezers to pop the hair out at that time.
Wipe off the residue wax gently and apply after-waxing oil given in the package.
At last, you can apply soothing lotion so that the redness will be gone or you can use a cream which contains salicylic acid so that you never get any kind of bumps and subcutaneous hairs.
One more tip
You can use a gentle scrub to exfoliate the waxed areas minimum for two days of hair removal. The benefit of this tip is it will reduce the risk of ingrown hairs.
